Learning the Pen Tool and Vector Art

So for today's new project I decided to learn how to use the Pen Tool in Photoshop and how it could be used to create vector based artwork. It's all about outlining shapes in a much more precise way than the Lasso tool and using them as custom shapes that can be coloured, resized and pretty much manipulated any way imaginable. Nothing too complicated yet 'cos it really takes a while to get used to, but here's what I've managed to come up with so far More comin' your way soon!

An Electrifying Second 3D Model!

So you may have seen my first attempt yesterday at a 3d model, Sonic the Hedgehog's head. Yes it was fairly crap but, hey it was a start! I'm now officially a day older, wiser and more experienced and here's model number 2! Starting with a low-res, low polygon generic monster shape Be rude not to throw in a few more polygons ARRRGGH! This is why I should have watched a tutorial! BAM! I call this one Pika- pain in the ass Bit of colour for giggles Maybe some texture here and there... Cell shaded maybe? Et voila! One finished Pokemon! Now only 600 or so left.... I can see why Gamefreak never made a proper 3D Pokemon game now.... I tried to base him on the old style Pikachu from the trading card, pre- anime days, hence him looking a little tubby =D

Amazing Spider-man 2 Appearance Speculation

SPOILERS!!!! Who was the man in the shadows? The next villain. Sequel speculation You did stay for the mid-credits sequence, right? Am I right? Even though everyone else in the cinema left, you stayed didn't you? Well there was a creepy dude in the shadows of Connors' cell who made sure he didn't tell Peter about his parents. But who was he? And who will the next villain be? Norman Osborn The obvious choice. He controls Connors and Dr. Ratha and he's revealed to be dying in the film. The Green Goblin in the comics and in Sam Raimi's trilogy. Likely because he's been mentioned already. He might end up taking some kind of serum, possibly based on the lizard's in a desperate attempt to save his life, thus transforming him into a goblin like creature. Might he be involved in a certain story line involving Gwen and a bridge? *cough *MJ set up *cough* Unlikely because it's too soon after Sam Raimi's Stormin' Norman. They'

The Amazing Spiderman?

The Amazing Spiderman? SPOILERIFFIC IF YOU HAVEN"T SEEN IT GO WATCH IT NOW! CRAZY FOO! Too early for a reboot? Tobey Maguire was too old to play a teenager but 27 year old Andrew Garfield isn't? Another origin story? Emma Stone's playing Gwen, when she's a clear choice for MJ? No J. Jonah Jameson????? OK so there were a lot of concerns regarding the new Spidey movie, but you have to go into it just looking for a good movie and that's exactly what it delivers. Forget the Sam Raimi trilogy and you'll have a great few hours. Emma Stone in 3D. The closest I'll ever get without a restraining order Andrew Garfield is a great Peter Parker. Goofy, out of place, nerdy and yet skinny and agile. Great hair too. Emma Stone is amazing. Who was she playing? Who cares, it's Emma Stone =D Martin Sheen does surprisingly well as a likeable and strong Uncle Ben in such a small role and has much more impact on the film then Sally Field as Aunt May, who m

An Underwhelming Entrance Into the World of 3D

As some of you may know I'm soon to be starting a 2 year course in 3d modelling and animation, but I got bored and decided to start early =D Ok so it's not great and does look more like a 3 year old's drawing, but hey, it's a start! Lost my fecking tablet pen so this was with the Mac's trackpad, hence the messiness =/ Anyway this is supposed to be Sonic the hedgehog but looks more like his deformed and unwanted cousin Donic lol Time: 1 hour using Mudbox 2013
