Art Collaboration Tournament Round 2!! The Far East

Ok so after narrowly losing Round 1 we were pumped for Round 2.

Our theme was The Far East

L34D through some sweet sketches at me, eventually throwing down these sweet lines

this for me was a real chalenge to colour, I had no idea what the sun/ sky would look like and how to do the snow.

But then I had the week from hell. I was really down and stressed because of some personal crap and I ended up missin the deadline the deadline, completely letting L34D down.

And here's what our opponents Nate and SirWaka put up...

I mean that wouldn't look out of place in a Marvel/DC comic of today... just wow

needless to say they weren't impressed by our lack of entry and they let it be heard.

This didn't really help the whole bad week thing but I picked up my tablet and in 3 hours i came up with this, just so L34D's efforts wouldn't go to waste...

Doesn't really do his lines justice, and there's alot I would do differently if I were to do it again now, but I was happy enough, given the circumstances =)

Result......

Needless to say we lost this round by default

Team Rorschach F4N4T1C score : still 0

The Scottscars 2025

Welcome to the 14th edition of the Scottscars! The annual movie awards blog that makes winning an Oscar feel like a consolation prize. The movie industry had to bounce back this year after the end of the Sony Spider-Man Universe. Absolutely no Kraven the Hunter or Madame Web movies on this year’s slate. But bounce back it did — from Amazon making a 90-minute advert for Amazon Prime and calling it War of the Worlds , to Cynthia Erivo getting emotional at a helicopter flying overhead during another excellent and completely normal human being Wicked press tour. Avatar once again blurred the lines between live action and animation, while more live-action remakes continued to dominate the box office. So grab a cup of coffee, sit back, and have your favourite A.I. summarise this year’s Scottscars for you. Movie stats for the year Movies watched: 78 Cinema visits: 29 times Most watched director: Hayao Miyazaki Most watched actor: Alan Tudyk The running order, a...

The Scottscars 2016 Movie Awards

So it's been quite the year. Quite the year indeed. From celebrity deaths to crazy political shifts to me spending the last 8 weeks recovering from surgery, quality films have been needed more than ever to distract us average joes from the chaos of 2016. Once again, I didn't get to see as many new movies as I would have liked (104 to be exact, 23 of them being rewatches, but who's counting?) but the year certainly has given us some incredible highs, like when we discovered just what was really going on in Arrvial , and some facepalm inducing lows, like TMNT 2 from start to finish. So with that, here are my thought on the past year, followed by some predictions I made last year ( which didn't go so well) and a brand new shiny set for next year. Enjoy! THE AWARDS! Guess the Sketch!

So I've decided that my artwork's went waaaay downhill since I moved to digital sketching and inking. I still prefer digital for non messy colouring but for sketching, nothing beats a good ol' pencil. So for my first serious pencil sketch since my Sherlock Holmes sketch back in about 2008 I decided to sketch ......... Why don't you guess? Here's my first initial outlines, which to be honest looks like a troll in drag. Anyone who guesses right before I update the post with my progress can pick what I draw next! That's right people- FREE COMMISSION! Post your guesses here on the blog if you have a googlemail/gmail account or in the link on my facebook Dear, dear I've got my work cut out for me
